Expand description
List views use widgets to display their contents.
You should use Spinner
instead
Renders a spinning animation in a cell
CellRendererSpinner
renders a spinning animation in a cell, very
similar to Spinner
. It can often be used as an alternative
to a CellRendererProgress
for displaying indefinite activity,
instead of actual progress.
To start the animation in a cell, set the GtkCellRendererSpinner:active
property to true
and increment the GtkCellRendererSpinner:pulse
property
at regular intervals. The usual way to set the cell renderer properties
for each cell is to bind them to columns in your tree model using e.g.
gtk_tree_view_column_add_attribute().
§Properties
§active
Whether the spinner is active (ie. shown) in the cell
Readable | Writeable
§pulse
Pulse of the spinner. Increment this value to draw the next frame of the spinner animation. Usually, you would update this value in a timeout.
By default, the Spinner
widget draws one full cycle of the animation,
consisting of 12 frames, in 750 milliseconds.
Readable | Writeable
§size
The IconSize
value that specifies the size of the rendered spinner.

Implementations§
Source§impl CellRendererSpinner
impl CellRendererSpinner
Sourcepub fn new() -> CellRendererSpinner
👎Deprecated: Since 4.10
pub fn new() -> CellRendererSpinner
Returns a new cell renderer which will show a spinner to indicate activity.
§Deprecated since 4.10
§Returns
a new CellRenderer
Sourcepub fn builder() -> CellRendererSpinnerBuilder
👎Deprecated: Since 4.10
pub fn builder() -> CellRendererSpinnerBuilder
Creates a new builder-pattern struct instance to construct CellRendererSpinner
objects.
This method returns an instance of CellRendererSpinnerBuilder
which can be used to create CellRendererSpinner
objects.
Sourcepub fn is_active(&self) -> bool
👎Deprecated: Since 4.10
pub fn is_active(&self) -> bool
Whether the spinner is active (ie. shown) in the cell
Sourcepub fn set_active(&self, active: bool)

Whether the spinner is active (ie. shown) in the cell
Sourcepub fn pulse(&self) -> u32
👎Deprecated: Since 4.10
pub fn pulse(&self) -> u32
Pulse of the spinner. Increment this value to draw the next frame of the spinner animation. Usually, you would update this value in a timeout.
By default, the Spinner
widget draws one full cycle of the animation,
consisting of 12 frames, in 750 milliseconds.
Sourcepub fn set_pulse(&self, pulse: u32)
👎Deprecated: Since 4.10
pub fn set_pulse(&self, pulse: u32)
Pulse of the spinner. Increment this value to draw the next frame of the spinner animation. Usually, you would update this value in a timeout.

. The three
passed-in rectangles are areas in @cr. Most renderers will draw within
@cell_area; the xalign, yalign, xpad, and ypad fields of the CellRenderer
should be honored with respect to @cell_area. @background_area includes the
blank space around the cell, and also the area containing the tree expander;
so the @background_area rectangles for all cells tile to cover the entire
@window. Read moreSource§fn start_editing(
